We are Rochdale and District Mind!

We are an independent, local mental health charity who have been providing services to those within the Borough of Rochdale for 35 years! We are focused on healing and recovery, and supporting people to lead happy, fulfilling lives through a range of services and group sessions.

Are you the same as ‘Mind, the mental health charity’?

We are a branch of the ‘Mind’ tree, known as a Local Mind. This means we have the ‘Mind’ charity affiliation, but we are an independent charity that is required to raise our own funds and provide our own services to those who need it locally.

We do this by offering a wide range of informative support groups, sessions and services that are designed with local needs in mind! In addition, we 

support local strategic developments that aid the wellbeing of people who live and work in the area.

Our vision and values are at the heart of everything we do. We are focused on wellbeing and recovery, and supporting people to lead fulfilling lives.  Our projects are designed to meet the needs of different people in different ways and to ensure that everyone can get support when they need it.

We are governed by a Board of Trustees and our governing document which is registered with the Charity Commission. We have achieved the highest level rating from National Mind for our quality standards, and are a recognised Disability Confident Employer and hold quality marks for a number of our services including British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), Quality Performance Mark (QPM) and ISO9001.
