Each Mind centre is unique in itself.
Local Minds are responsible for their own funding. We are funded by donations, grants and income from services we deliver on behalf of local councils, the NHS and private organisations. Some local Minds also receive funding from National Mind through a grant fund, which local Minds can apply to annually. Most local Minds provide services to people free of charge, but some may charge a small fee.
Fundraising for Rochdale and District Mind means that your donation will go straight into helping our service users-
- £5 will cover the cost of a 3 minute phone call with an information worker who can provide practical support to someone who has mental health problems.
- £10 will provide 10 people with mental health information booklets, helping them to understand their symptoms and the treatment and support available.
- £50 provides a support group for people dealing with mental health problems to help them with tools and techniques to deal with everyday tasks in a more manageable way.
- £100 covers the cost of a mental health awareness course for 10 people , giving them the skills and confidence to support someone who is struggling with mental health problems.
If you wish to support us in any way either by fundraising or donating, we’re here to make it as easy as possible. We’ll be there to support you every step of the way with tips, fundraising advice, marketing materials, and supportive words. We’ll even attend your event where possible.
