World Suicide Prevention Day 2023
World Suicide Prevention Day is hosted on 10 September each year by the International Association for Suicide Prevention, a day to raise awareness and promote action to prevent suicide. Suicide is a global public health issue that affects millions of people every year. According to the World Health Organization, more than 700,000 people die by suicide annually, and for every person who dies, there are many more who attempt suicide or have suicidal thoughts.
If you know someone who is suicidal, you may feel helpless, scared, or unsure of what to do. You may wonder how to talk to them, how to help them, or how to keep them safe.
Our Listening Lounge crisis drop in session will also still be running on Saturday 9th September At The Mind Wellbeing Centre, 3-11 Drake Street, Rochdale, OL16 1RE between 1:30pm until 4:30pm
