Sam Davys Awarded MBE in King’s first New Years Honours list!

Congratulations to Rochdale and District Mind trustee Sam Davys on being awarded an MBE!

Sam is the Early Careers Manager at TalkTalk based in Salford, and has been awarded an MBE in the King’s first ever New Year’s Honours list for her services to young people and inclusion within Digital Industries. As part of her role, Sam recruited 100 young people through the ‘kickstart’ scheme that were previously unemployed and receiving universal credit due to the pandemic. Sam said:

The project was incredibly rewarding, especially as around half of those secured further employment with us after the 6 months, so it really was life changing for some. Princess Anne awarded me my medal, it was an incredible day and memories to last a lifetime! 

Sam has been a Rochdale and District Mind trustee since 2021 and has brought and continues to bring a wealth of skills, knowledge and passion to our board.
